The school archives community is one where we are almost all “Lone Arrangers”, and usually part-timers, working the other “part-time” as a librarian, history teacher, or administrator. We want to reach out and ask questions of each other, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. If you are an independent school, the NAIS Archivist community can be a place to ask questions, but it’s not always active. If you are new to being a school archivist, it’s hard to know where to start.
In this blog post, I want to reach out to the other school archives and see if they would like to share which programs they are using for their catalogs, for their digital repository, or any other functions. I have created a page on this blog so that if you are also interested in that program, you have an idea of which schools are using which programs. If you would like to include your name and email, so that others could contact you, I will place it with your school’s name.
If you would like to write a guest post on your experience with a particular program, please also let me know, so that we can share it here.
I am looking forward to hearing from the community!
